Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 Review: The Perfect Ending
Bones closes a series about growing up with the confidence of a studio that knew exactly what it had. 9.4/10.
Verdict: 9.4 out of 10. Season three is a finale that resolves its protagonist's actual problem rather than his strongest opponent.
Mob's arc was never about power. It was about a boy who suppresses himself because he is frightened of what he contains, and the final arc externalises that with a clarity that would be heavy-handed in less careful hands.
Bones animates the last two episodes like a short film, switching technique mid-scene in a way that would read as showing off if it were not so precisely motivated.
Reigen's role in the ending is the series' thesis: the most important adult in a child's life is the one who shows up, whatever his qualifications. Few shonen finales are this emotionally exact.
